0 votes

This two-day workshop is a learning activity for the whole family.

The first day (April 2nd from 6-9pm) we will discuss the basics of stream ecology as well as teach simple methods to determine the health of our waterbodies by the types of aquatic critters you find and how to measure water quality with common test kits.

The second day (April 5th from 1-4pm) we will go to Monarcas Creek, look for critters and use the test kits to determine water quality. Be prepared to get wet and have a lot of fun.

Materials will be provided for sampling the creek. Workshop sponsored by the City of Winston-Salem and the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center.
