Oct. 8 Free eXtension Webinar Features Nebraska Success in Growing Entrepreneurs

LINCOLN, Neb. -- NebraskaEDGE (Enhancing, Developing and Growing Entrepreneurs) has been helping small businesses since 1993. In an Oct. 8 free Webinar associate director Marilyn Schlake will share strategies for success and tips for working with entrepreneurs based on recent program evaluation data.
The NebraskaEDGE has helped nearly 2,250 individuals, small business owners and their partners start and improve their businesses. University of Nebraska-Lincoln staff has held more than 100 training courses in urban and rural communities across the state. NebraskaEDGE is the umbrella organization for rural entrepreneurial training programs hosted by local communities, organizations and associations.

Seminar host
Entrepreneurs and Their Communities is a national effort of eXtension, http://www.extension.org. In many communities, entrepreneurship is emerging as a critical strategy to complement industrial recruitment and business retention and expansion efforts. The entrepreneurs’ eXtension Web site is a growing resource center for local leaders, business representatives, government officials, service providers, nonprofit organizations, education officials and others.
Entrepreneurs and Their Communities hosts Webinars on the second Wednesday of each month. The Nov. 12 session is on effective networking tips and techniques for business owners.
A team of extension specialists and researchers working in land-grant universities across the country contribute the content. Resources include frequently asked questions, information briefs, research highlights and a calendar of events.
