Any organized 4-H group is eligible to participate. Calling all club officers....Madison County 4-H Officer Training will be held on Thursday, February 28th, from 4:00-5:30pm at the Cooperative Extension office. All current club officers are expected to attend this training to learn about the new leadership role they have accepted in their 4-H club. Swannanoa 4-H center is shaking off the cobwebs and opening for summer camp! Swannanoa has welcomed campers since 1929, and after 3 years of quiet cabins we are ready to fill the hills with laughter! Please come help us get ready for campers! Bring your 4-H club, family, and friends!! Food will not be provided, so please bring a sack lunch and picnic on our beautiful front porch! It is time once again for our 4-H Mini Garden Project to begin this spring! Learn to dig, sow, tend, and harvest your very own garden! All 4-H youth interested in gardening are encouraged to participate. Pre-registration required by April 11. Information and seed pick up will be April 23rd between 4:00-5:30pm. See you there!

Attention all 4-Her’s!! Madison County Activity Night is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27th here at the Cooperative Extension Office from 6:00 to 8:00pm. We challenge every 4-Her in Madison County to give a presentation at County Activity Night! Please note that pre-registration is required by May 1. Beginning Archery: For the young person who's never used a bow and arrow (or had very limited experience), this summer fun class is for you! Youth (ages 8-12) will learn the basics of archery (including safety, stance, parts of the bow and arrow) while target practicing!
